After the wild success of Daredevil, the news that Season 2 has been officially been confirmed will not be a huge surprise for fans, but it's welcome nevertheless!
Marvel has officially announced that our favorite blind vigilante lawyer will be springing back onto Netflix in 2016, but there will be some big changes afoot in the upcoming action-fest.
Producer Steven DeKnight will not be returning as the series showrunner due to other commitments. Instead, he will be replaced by Doug Petrie who worked on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Marco Ramirez of [Sons of Anarchy](series:201186) fame.
The new showrunning duo worked closely with DeKnight on the first season of [Daredevil (Netflix)](series:1168702) so they are prime candidates to carry the torch and push Daredevil's characters even further than before. DeKnight released a statement saying:
“While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season. I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can't wait to see what they do with the show moving forward."
So, keep your ears to the ground for more news from the Man Without Fear because I'm sure we'll be hearing a lot about him very, very soon!
