Marvel and Netflix have ordered a second season of the smash hit Daredevil, set to arrive on Netflix in 2016.
The show has been a tremendous success with critics and fans since it was launched on the popular streaming service on Friday, April 10th. Thus, it comes as little surprise that a second season has been ordered.
Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez will serve as showruuners for the new season. The pair will also serve as Executive Producers next season alongside Drew Goddard and Jeph Loeb.
Due to previous commitments, former Daredevil showrunner Steven S. DeKnight will not be returning for The Man Without Fear's second season. “While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with Daredevil into its second season, I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch. They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can't wait to see what they do with the show moving forward."
While were saddened to hear of DeKnight's departure from the show, we're excited to hear the show will be returning for a second season next year!
Based off the classic Marvel Comics vigilante, Daredevil stars Charlie Cox, Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Scott Glenn, Bob Gunton, Toby Leonard Moore, Vondie Curtis Hall, Ayelet Zurer.
Until next time, Infinite Earths fans!
