If you guys follow me, then you know I've been writing quite a bit about passion project [Mythica: A Quest for Heroes](tag:2813672). The fantasy movie crushed funding goals on its original Kickstarter campaign, gave us some great high fantasy with endearing characters, and got picked up by new fan-centric platform CONtv as its first-ever original film series. It premiered on March 31st, and you can watch it now on CONtv.
But now, the plucky little fantasy film trilogy that could needs your help again. The sequel, Mythica: The Darkspore, is finished, but, much like the first film, they're asking for fans to chip in and help with the VFX and postproduction to turn this into an even more visually stunning film than the first time around. I mean, there are dragons in this one, you guys. DRAGONS. Which are tricky to animate, but, more importantly...
Plus, the money will help them get a jump-start on the third planned film in the trilogy, Mythica: The Necromancer.
They're in their last push to reach their funding goals, with only 7 days left to go. You can chip in a few dollars to help keep the fantasy fun going by donating to their Kickstarter campaign.
Still on the fence about how epic this will be? They've unveiled their official one-sheet poster for the sequel, and we have the exclusive first look.
I don't know about you, but I really, really want that dragon to look as ferocious as possible. And here's the trailer, in case you missed it.
Realistic magic, tons of action, intrigue, incredibly cool costume design, and characters fully coming into their own? I'm so down.
So far, the Kickstarter campaign has funded $55,000 of its $75,000 goal. Can we help them to get $20k more in a week? Let's challenge ourselves! If everyone reading this donates one dollar, and you share it with your friends and they donate, and they share it with THEIR friends, just imagine the ripple effect we could have in a week's time! Plus, they're giving away some really cool rewards, and who doesn't love that?
You can help be the first ripple by donating to Mythica: The Darkspore's Kickstarter campaign and spreading the word.
