Friday the 13th's merciless slasher Jason Voorhees will make his barbaric Mortal Kombat X debut next month.
"There's a legend around here. A killer buried, but not dead. A curse on Crystal Lake, a death curse. Jason Voorhees' curse. They say he died as a boy, but he keeps coming back. Few have seen him and lived. Some have even tried to stop him... No one can. People forget he's down there, waiting..." - Friday the 13th
NetherRealm has stated that the infamous killer Jason Voorhees will become available as a playable character in Mortal Kombat X on May the 5th.
Although no gameplay teasers or screenshots have been released with this announcement, you can guarantee that whatever NetherRealm has in store for us, come May, we will be in for a brutally savage affair.
Here's Jason In the character select screen
Jason Voorhees will be the first member of the Mortal Kombat X add-on 'Kombat Pack' to debut as a playable character. Anyone can try Jason Voorhees and the other DLC characters for free, but will have to buy the full 'Kombat Pack' to keep them permanently in their roster.
Predator to come next?
If it bleeds, we can kill it! Mortal Kombat X revealed that the second of the four iconic characters that will feature as playable character would be the super-hunter, Predator.
This would suggest that Predator will be the second 'Klassic Kombatant' to be available to us as a playable character behind Jason.
