Horror remakes might be two-a-penny these days, but we finally have one that might be worth pencilling into our diaries! '80s horror classic, The Entity, is all set to be remade by the tried and tested creative team behind The Conjuring.

James Wan of Saw and Insidious fame - who recently broke from the horror genre to direct Furious 7 - will rejoin the scriptwriting brothers Chad and Carey Hayes with Roy Lee (The Ring, The Grudge) producing the movie.

For those of you who haven't seen the original Entity movie, it is based on the true story of Carla Moran, a single mother who is sexually and physically abused by a demonic presence.

The original is probably best known for a realistic (for the time!) breast fondling scene that I unfortunately couldn't find a clip of, so you'll have to make do with the original trailer below:

Barbara Hershey's performance as Moran won plenty of critical acclaim from horror fans, so casting on this one is key to avoid ruffling any feathers...

There is no information about a potential release date yet, but we'll be sure to keep you updated on this one.
