There are a lot of short movies online. Actually, a lot is a bit of an understatement. It can be quite daunting when trawling through the infinite web, on a search for the next big filmmaker, DOP or screenwriter, and you're greeted with hundreds of choices.

Like science fiction for example, the web is jam packed full of ingenious takes on varying sci-fi lores. But, there's no reason to get perturbed, for here's a list of some of the best creepy sci-fi short films out there in the wild:

1. Cargo

2. Operator

3. Pennywise

4. Connected
