With great power comes great responsibility. Films can be very powerful and I think one of their responsibilities is lifting us up - showing us anything is possible. Because it is - if you believe it to be. Am I already getting cheesy?

Being surrounded by movies with this important element always gives that little push our imagination needs. Especially when you're a kid and you hear a bit too much about what you can't do. These are my favorite 5 movies that go to show what little people can do even when the situation seems completely hopeless.

The Secret Garden (1993)

Billy Elliot (2000)

A Little Princess (1995)

Matilda (1996)

Little Boy (2015)

Little Boy is the sweetest movie I've seen in a long time. I smiled, teared up and the kid inside of me - yes, I'm a kid - believed in the power of will.

The film is opening today Friday April 24th in theatres.

Last week, I had the lucky opportunity to speak with two of the stars from the upcoming film Little Boy -- Michael Rapaport and Jakob Salvati. Watch the interview.

Have you watched any of these movies? Are you going to watch Little Boy? Let me know!
