I was a big fan of Man of Steel, but for some reason a lot of people were upset with the DC movie, mainly due to the fact that it was "too dark" - both literally and figuratively. DC is known for taking comic book superheroes and making their world extremely ominous.

The question that seems to be on everyone's mind is something along the lines of, "why can't DC put a little color in their movies... you know, like Marvel?" Well, it's unclear what the reasoning is behind this darkness, but a fan has reimagined one of the flagship franchises for DC, Superman a.k.a. Man of Steel with brighter hues.

The video was done by Video Lab. Give them a follow if you want to see more stuff like this! Do you think it makes for a better movie? Would you enjoy the entire film with brighter colors?

Well, I guess we'll see what DC does with [Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice](tag:711870), which looks pretty dark in its own right.

Here's the trailer for that DC flick:
