I see testaments to actors on movie pilot all the time! I love it don't get me wrong. I have learned so many things I never would have known thanks to the contributors for! One thing I've never seen is a testimonial to one of Disneys veteran voice actors and , the vocal chords behind so many of our favorite characters...

Mr. David Ogden Stiers!

Mr. Stiers has voiced many characters that have helped shape this generation. Most notably he has lent his vocal charisma to Cogsworth in Disneys Beauty and the Beast a film for which he also narrated.

He has voiced both Govenor Ratcliffe and Wiggins in Pocohantas! Just think about that fact for a second. That classic scene where Wiggins is giving Percy the Pug a bath and talking to Govenor Ratcliffe was voiced mostly by David Ogden Stiers! I honestly didn't know that until I was older!

He can also be heard in Atlantis: The Lost Empire as Fenton Q. Harcourt and Jumba in Lilo & Stitch! Just saying that's like four Disney heavy hitters from my childhood! We can add five counting the fact he featured in the Hunchback of Notre Dame as the Archdeacon! He's also ventured into the video games world lending his voice to the iconic Doc (Snow White and the Seven Dwarves) in Disneys video game classic Kingdom Hearts.

An extensive list indeed! I remember watching Disney movies as a child and recognizing his voice as it would pop up and being excited every time! But even more then the impact he's has on my own personal cinematic viewing he has influenced a generation and brought to life characters that will last generations. His characters are always so powerful too! So thank you David Ogden Stiers! Thank you for your contribution to Disneys cinematic history!
