The world was introduced to the new Joker a couple days ago when Suicide Squad director David Ayer tweeted out his picture. The internet responded with both love and hate for the new take on the character. Many complained about everything from the "Damaged" tattoo to the silver grillz in his mouth. However, none of this matters because he won't look like this throughout the film.

It has been said that at the beginning of Suicide Squad The Joker is incarcerated at Arkham Asylum. This is when Viola Davis' Amanda Waller recruits him into the actual Suicide Squad. Now, based on leaked photos from the set, The Joker looks nothing like the above picture later in the film. Here are the pictures:

These pictures look nothing like what I am dubbing "Prison Joker" (the official photo above). My theory is that Ayer posted what Joker looks like while he is imprisoned. I believe that The Joker made himself look like the stereotypical prison inmate to blend in or even play a game (making someone conceive a false idea or pretense of him). When he gets out, however, I think he will show his true colors and give us the Joker we all want to see. To recap, I think Ayer gave the Internet a temporary look for the Joker to send us into a frenzy of discussion and backlash. I don't think he ever showed us the regular or main look for The Clown Prince of Crime.
