A superheros story line crossed over so much in the comics its a natural progression for the movies made after them to start doing the same, either teaming up with each other to save the world from some unbelievable strong foe or battling against each other in some ultimate showdown but its in my humble opinion some times in order to grow and shape the characters destiny it can be good to see new faces get a shot to play these ultimate characters, if you were a fan of the old comics you would know this happened....A lot.
Now not 100 percent saying they should reboot the Iron man character right now like come on its Robert Downey Jr. agreed the star power he brings to the character and success of the first Iron Man Movies movies helped pave the way for Marvel to become the massive super hero movie production company it is now but it as with all things have to change one day into something new, something different.
RDJ, is already the main character opposite Chris Evans in the upcoming Captain America: Civil War and since I do not foresee any more solo Iron Man movies made with Downey playing the character of Tony Stark does not in my opinion mean he has to be the hero crossing over in every other characters story line there are many different ones to choose from for something like this!
I would like to think Downey plans on playing other characters in his acting career as well and since he is now 50 years old how many more of these films will he want to do, it does seem Marvel is trending towards younger actors in the next phases of movies could signify a passing of the torch, with super hero plots it is easy to imagine a way to pass on the characters abilities to another, or what X-Men First Class and Days of Future Past did using past and future time lines to bring in younger versions of these aging actors, so you need only use your imagination to find a viable way to do so on screen.
Now with a track record of pumping out smash hit after smash hit the idea that Marvel misfires on movies in the future is very unlikely so whatever they decide to do with his character in the next movies is going be awesome, That being said all and all very stoked for the web-head to be back home in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
The characters I would absolutely love to see (done right) are the Venom and Carnage characters, introduce them in the upcoming Spectacular Spider Man movie and make a movie that will make me forget about everything Sony attempted to do with this character but in my opinion never achieved
Im dreaming at this point but next up would be to get Wolverine and the X-Men characters back home to the MCU, given the success that Fox has had with the X-Men Franchise is seems unlikely to happen any time soon, unfortunately
I think all Marvel comic book characters were united under one umbrella (Marvel) the possibilities and potential would grow exponentially guaranteeing amazing movies for years and years to come, assuming Fox does not want to give up the rights I wonder do different studios ever collaborate in these situations? I dont see it, not being a big win win for everyone.
Coming back to new faces portraying the characters gotta love Hugh Jackman as the Wolverine but maybe a new face there...after X-Men Apocalypse how man different times has he play that character, ummm.....Nine movies I believe, Just saying I think if new rebooted characters like the younger Fantastic Four cast are received well enough and the movie does well enough critically and in the box office it could encourage more and more reboots of the actor playing those characters.
I would like to see the next character (that Marvel has the rights to) do a solo film again be the Hulk, In my opinion Mark Ruffalo has done a great job portraying the Hulk character and he should still be the one doing so in any solo capacity, The chemistry Downey and Ruffalo already have together from the previous Avengers movie and just the teasers of the Hulkbuster armor in Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer in my opinion could mean a feature from Iron Man is far more fitting that him in the Spectacular Spider-Man film in 2017, that also could change in a few more days once I see Avengers: Age of Ultron.....
