It seems here lately that more and more big bits of news concerning [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409) have hit the Internet as [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](tag:293035) moves closer to its official U.S. release date.
The latest piece of news surrounding the next installment of the Captain America franchise confirms Baron Zemo -- one of the most notorious villains from Cap's "rogues" -- will be in the new film, and he will be played by actor Daniel Brühl.
Check out the details below.
From The Independent:
Brühl has just been cast in the new Captain America, as the villain, Baron Helmut Zemo – “I think I can tell you that without being thrown into Marvel prison…” – and starts shooting at the end of April. “For the first few days I’ll walk around like a little boy, just amazed by the megalomania of it. It’s such a huge project. We could do 20 films with the budget.”
It's exciting to see another major villain with connections back to Cap's past be thrust into the Sentinel of Liberty's story, and it'll be super interesting to see how they work the character into the narrative they already established with Captain America: The First Avenger.
Brühl has worked alongside future Marvel Cinematic Universe star Benedict Cumberbatch who will be playing Dr. Stephen Strange, and also the Falcon, Anthony Mackie.
