Take a look at your new nightmare in this terrifying (and somewhat ridiculous) trailer for Russian director Vladimir Uglichin's Ratpocalypse, a film about corrupt politicians in Russia who won't stop turning into rats!

The indie sci-fi film, which is sure to be the weirdest film of the year, has an impressive cast, including Starship Troopers star Casper Van Dien, Transformers: Age of Extinction actor Victoria Summer and Linda Bell who appeared in Filth to Ashes, Flesh to Dust. Gray Frederickson of The Godfather trilogy and Apocalypse Now fame has produced the film.

Check out the film's awesome synopsis:

An American Senator has a vision directing him to share a dire warning. When the warning goes unheeded, he struggles to deal with the blowback, finding one ally as the rest of the world turns on him.

A pretty interesting premise, right? I'm sure you'll see for yourself when you watch the trailer below, but as Bloody Disgusting pointed out, the film seems to have a sort of 'so bad it's good' vibe about it, and with that I wouldn't be surprised if it manages to nab itself a cult following.
