Okay, everybody, hold on to your hats, or color coded bandanas, because our "Heroes in a Half Shell," the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, will finally have a ride in the impending Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2! And it's a big ol' beauty!
Riffing on the badass VW camper van that the Turtles owned way back in the eighties' animated series, the Turtles' new ride has received a bit of an upgrade in size and style, I guess to accommodate the sheer size of the heroes.
Let's have a look then:
Who didn't want one of these to spring out of?!
To crap tip:
Aah, I see what you did there!
The Turtles will be protecting New York and its inhabitants from the relative safety of the "Battlewagon," this super sick garbage truck, colored to reflect the look of the reptilian badasses. The images come straight from Michael Bay's Facebook page, who isn't without a sense of humor as a cheeky little in-joke has been emblazoned on the side of the truck...:
"Tartaruga" is Italian and Portuguese for turtle or tortoise. Mind. Blown.
But Wait, There's More...
Not content with the Tartarugas being the only ones with a fly whip to dash from block to block in, it seems as if the hockey mask wearing, hockey stick wielding vigilante Casey Jones will be getting in on the vehicular badassery too...:
It would make sense if it was Jones' new ride, or maybe it's a new Transformer, who knows. But it's pretty awesome nonetheless!
What do you make of these?
A welcome addition to the canon? Or a big ol' waste of time?
