I was at work the other day, excitedly telling everyone how I was going to go see Avengers: Age of Ultron on May 1st. They laughed and then said that they had no clue what Avengers: Age of Ultron was.
See, everyone, save that poor unfortunate soul, knows that Avengers: Age of Ultron started it's tsunami wave back in Hollywood just a few weeks ago. It's been gaining speed, momentum, and power, as it has slammed into different theaters all across the globe. Now it's poised to break box office records when it arrives here in the US in four days.
The Avengers Made $207 Million Opening Weekend
Before I explain just how out-of-this-world Avengers: Age of Ultron is going to be, I'll explain a little about the first Avengers movie. It made $207 million dollars it's opening weekend. And that's just its opening weekend! It made $623, 357,910 domestically. Domestically. Worldwide it made over 1.5 billion dollars. That's humongous! That is mind-blowing. And Avengers: Age of Ultron is going to blow Avengers out of the water.
Avengers: Age of Ultron Made $201 Million Opening Weekend Overseas
Here's where everything goes skyrocketing. Avengers: Age of Ultron opened to $201 million dollars just overseas. This is the biggest overseas opening of any movie ever! It hasn't opened yet here in America, but we can be sure it's going to blow everything within a mile radius out of the water.
It's also predicted that the Avengers: Age of Ultron could open to $217 million dollars here in the US. That's crazy! That's at least $10 million dollars more than the Avengers movie made it's opening weekend! Guys, it might be too awesome to be true, but I think Avengers: Age of Ultron is going to hit 1.8 - 2 billion dollars overall. How awesome would that be?
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in theaters Friday May 1st.
