Kingdom Hearts 3 is one of the most anticipated JRPGs in years. The return of Sora, Donald and Goofy to a new numerical instalment on consoles, is assuredly a major event for KH fans all over the world. However, Square Enix have also revealed that Kingdom Hearts 3 will not be the only game that they'll be granting a release date in the near future, we also have a Kingdom Hearts mobile game!

Fans aren't entirely sure what this could mean for us. Could we see a tie-in game for mobile devices? One that helps us out a little for Kingdom Hearts 3 before its release date? Or are we seeing a whole new title that could take place between Kingdom Hearts 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3? Let's review the possibilities of what it could be and what forms fans would love it to take on release date.

Kingdom Hearts 3 & Square Enix's Mysterious KH Mobile Game

One of the main forms that Kingdom Hearts fans would love the Kingdom Hearts mobile game to take, is some form of Chi adventure. Imagine getting a little KH mobile game set within the Keyblade war eras, it really could work. I'd especially like to see Square Enix try to make it a great little turn based RPG, something with a complete change of pace in comparison with Kingdom Hearts 3. But here's hoping that it's a paid game and not one of these that destroys you with in-game purchases.

Kingdom Hearts has a rich and complicated history, so personally I'd actually love to see something that didn't feature Sora as a main character on its release date. Why couldn't we see an adventure that informs on Kingdom Hearts 3, with introducing one of its new characters? We could get a little bit of backstory to someone we'll be introduced to in the main campaign on the PS4 and XBOX One.

In terms of actual gameplay, I think that turn-based combat would best suit the world of Kingdom Hearts. There's no way that the real-time combat of the Kingdom Hearts games would work very well in terms of mobile instalments. It just doesn't function well when you have to press the screen over and over. But that's just my opinion. I'd prefer the Kingdom Hearts mobile game to focus on the story and give us a decent turn-based gameplay system to sink our teeth into!

But what do you think Kingdom Hearts fans? What would you want out of the Kingdom Hearts mobile game on its release date? Do you want it to just be a support base for Kingdom Hearts 3? Or would you like it to be its own entity, and introduce some new characters to us? Let us know in the comments!
