With only three episodes of The Flash left and the season one finale airing on May 19th, the fandom is sure to suffer a loss. Of a character? Maybe. But what I'm really talking about is the loss of knowing what to do with themselves.

Our favorite hero and his partners - Joe West (Jesse L. Martin), Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes), and Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett) - are only just starting to face Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), whose real identity has been revealed as Eobard Thawne, and things are beginning to get heated. Barry Allen, portrayed by Grant Gustin (Glee), finally knows who murdered his mother and framed his father, but can he really stop Harrison Wells? The man was his mentor, his friend. Nevertheless, the Flash has a lot on his plate.

My social life consists of running at super-human speed and Netflix.

With the series being renewed for a second season ahead of schedule, there is plenty of time for the network and writers to play out this plot for a while. So what will they do? It's yet to be seen.

But while the show is on hiatus after the end of season one, what will you be doing to feed you hunger for Barry Allen? Perhaps rewatch the entire season...more than once. Or maybe you'll do what I do and write your own fanfiction. But there is the option of reading a fanfiction.

I know fanfiction isn't for everyone, but for those of you who do read it, I have put together an interview with the author of the most-read Barry Allen story on the net (at least the most-read I was able to find).

Within Seconds (available on Wattpad) was written by xxwinterschildxx and has over 418k reads, 13.4k votes, and 4.4k comments.

(I will admit that I haven't read this story, but that's only because I write my own fanfiction and I don't want to be stealing ideas from anyone else.)

About the Story:

1. What inspired you to write the story, Within Seconds?
Author: I have always had a dream of writing for a TV show that was beginning and after the first episode of The Flash, I fell in love with it. I thought people might want to read something about Barry.

2. Is this the only Barry Allen story you've written?
A: Yes, this is my first and only.

3. Are you surprised at how popular the story has gotten?
A: I'm blown away everyday by how popular it is. I never thought something I've written would reach the amount of fame Within Seconds has gotten. It's more than my heart can handle sometimes.

4. Is there a certain person you maybe based the main character, Parker Sylas, on?
A: It's probably tacky, but Parker is strongly based off of me. A lot of her dialogue is what I was thinking through the episode or how I would react to the situation she was put in.

5. What's one thing, if any, that happened in your story that you'd like to see on the show?
A: I think a fan-favorite thing about my story is that Parker has such good relationships with Oliver Queen and Cisco. Cisco doesn't get enough love, so I try to give him love through Parker. For Oliver, I think he needs someone to make him smile and help him ease off the whole moody attitude he has, at least for a little bit.

6. Do you have a favorite Barry Allen/Flash fanfiction? Aside from your own, of course.
A: I don't actually read Barry fanfics because I don't want to generate any ideas from their work.

About the Author:

1. Who/what is your biggest inspiration?
A: Again, probably very tacky, but my biggest inspiration is Captain America. I aspire to be the type of person he is and stand for everything he does.

2. Do/did you read The Flash comics?
A: I have read some, but not a lot of them.

3. How old are you?
A: I'm fourteen.

4. Who is your favorite superhero?
A: This is always such a hard question for me. I think I would have to say Deadpool from Marvel.

5. Who is your OTP (one true pair) from any show?
A: I'm on/off about Olicity from Arrow. They are probably my number one OTP.

6. Which character on The Flash/Arrow would you say you're most like?
A: Felicity! I'm not as awkward as she is when it comes to sexual innuendos, but I really see myself in her.

And Finally...

Why should people read your story, Within Seconds?
A: I think people should read Within Seconds because the way Parker Sylas fits into the story gives anyone reading a different perspective, and honestly, a humorous, relatable one. Plus, it's got Barry Allen in it, which is always fabulous.
