Today I sat down to watch Welcome To The Punch; Welcome To The Punch revolves around a criminal who is forced to return to London when his son is shot, and this gives his arch enemy (a cop) a chance to hunt him down which he failed to do 3 years before. As the criminal searches into the mystery of how his son got shot it uncovers a conspiracy that causes the two to team together to uncover it. Welcome To The Punch is directed by Eran Creevy and stars James MacAvoy, Mark Strong, Andrea Riseborough and David Morrissey.

There are a few positives to this film which include: great acting, good action and lots of intrigue. To expand, all the actors in this film did great jobs in making convincing characters and I especially liked David Morrissey in his role; the action scenes in the film looked cool and were fun to watch, and finally the way the story was told built up lots of intrigue in the film.

However there are also a few negatives which include: there is a simple story, there is slow story progression and I wasn't emotionally attached to the characters. The film has quite a simple plot and even though the story is intriguing it is still very simple, because of this simplicity the 95 minute run time seems appropriate but still the story progression is very slow.

Overall I enjoyed this film even with its flaws, and taking all the positives and negatives into consideration I rate this film:
