I do not want to ruin anyone's theater experience when you go to see this film. So turn away right now if you do not want to know any spoilers in this film. I will reveal a few things, but hopefully not to many. Here we go!

I went into this film with very large expectations. All of the footage that we have already seen in the promos and trailers seemed a bit much. I personally felt like I already had seen most of the movie before I even sat down in the theater. But, I was wrong. There is plenty (and I mean plenty) of unseen footage! And it is an absolute blast!

It's your typical we must save the world from a bad guy concept again, but they do sprinkle in some nice twist and turns. I would like to get into some nice surprises that I personally loved about this film.

Things I loved about this movie

1. Hawkeye is now a key player

Hawkeye! Yay! Your finally a contributor to the Avengers! Well, sort of. Still one of the least important characters when it comes to battle (he even has a great one liner in the film about this), Hawkeye gets his own little back story in this film. We meet his family and he gets way more screen time. Maybe even the most screen time. Also, he is probably the funniest Avenger in this film. He brought the humor.

2. Ultron is bad, but not as bad as you think

Listen. Ultron is one bad MF. But, he is actually quite humorous and weird as well. I found myself laughing at a lot of his quirks and jokes. James Spader did a fantastic job voicing the character. He really brought a lot of personality and humor to Ultron.

3. Black Widow and Scarlet Witch are bad asses

Seriously. I am not lying. These two made the movie for me. There actions scenes are amazing. Black Widow is given so much more to do in this film. But really, Scarlet Witch is something to watch. Elizabeth Olsen portrays this character perfectly. Her abilities are out of this world.

4. Veronica

This is the name of Tony's Hulkbuster. And it kicks serious ass. I just love that he named it Veronica.

5. Lots more Hulk action

I don't know why, but I get giddy seeing Hulk on screen terrorizing everything in sight. He gets to do it a lot more in this film than the first. And it is awesome.

Now, as much as I loved this film, there were area's that really bothered me. Hence why I gave it an 8.5/10. Below I will list my issues.

Things I didn't like about the movie

1. Thor is left in the dust

Thor felt absent to me. His scenes almost felt incomplete. I know Whedon had said his original film was over 3 hours, so maybe he cut a lot of Thor's scenes? Anyways I heard on the Blu Ray he will be releasing his directors cut of the film. I am hoping it will help clarify why Thor did not feel like a major player in this film.

2. (Seriously stop reading, big spoiler)

Quicksilver dies

Look. I am a big Aaron Taylor-Johnson fan. Kick Ass is one of my favorite action movies. I love Savages. Hell, I even enjoyed Kick Ass 2. So, this may just be my fandom that is upset.

Nonetheless, Quicksilver is gone. And his death is actually kind of brutal for a MCU movie. I do not think we will be seeing him again. He goes out in a sweet way (saving Hawkeye's life), but it's still sad to see him go. He is a very fun character to watch during the film.

3. Not enough from our role players

War Machine, Agent Maria Hill and Falcon are absent most of the film. I was expecting more from them. Honestly, I was more upset we did not see more of Falcon. He is awesome. In Captain America 2, he stole the show. I thought he would be more a player in this film. I was wrong.

4. Vision

I will probably get hate for this, but I did not like Vision. He's not in the movie much, but he is there for the most important role of all (Big spoiler: killing Ultron). Paul Bettany is a very underrated actor in my opinion. But he is kind of wasted here. We will definitely see more of him in the future of the MCU.

All in all, this is a movie that does it's job. Entertains. Go out and enjoy yourself. Thanks for reading!
