With the recent release of Avengers : Age of Ultron, the promotions for the movie are going on ultimate levels. With its all star cast appearing on Talk shows and clips from the movie popping every now and then on our TV sceens, this movie is going great lengths for breaking records. In one such, promotional interview with The Rolling Stone, Stan Lee was asked a couple of questions related to "The hulk" movies and why they didn't work out!
Well its very clear that The first two Hulk movies that are - Hulk (2003) and The Incredible Hulk (2008) did not manage to get some deep rooted love and affection from the viewers and critics for the movie, which is quite opposite of what's going on with every Marvel movie since Iron Man. When Stan Lee was asked "Why didn't The Hulk movies work out?" He told that -
Well, my own feeling is that in the first two, they made him too powerful. I never conceived of him that way, and I didn't think it was necessary for him to be that big. I thought he could’ve been seven and a half feet tall. That's quite enough.
What Stan Lee said is actually true, the first two movies made Hulk so strong that it looked like it was almost impossible to defeat him. But, are they doing it correctly this time? Is Mark Ruffalo doing a good job? For me, yes. For Stan Lee, obviously yes.
Oh, he's wonderful. Nobody could do it better. I think the Hulk is the real Mark. I think he's acting when he's playing a regular human being.
Truly said Stan Lee. The Hulk is the only superhero in the MCU that has have had a rough start but right now, he is actually an awesome addition to the Avengers' team. Personally, I never really liked the first two hulk movies but, Mark's Hulk is absolutely amazing. You can see him smashing some bad guys again in cinemas now!
Is Mark Ruffalo the right guy for playing the Hulk? Did you like the early Hulk movies? Tell me what you think in the comments below!
