How many television shows can brag about a delusional gorilla going rampage during their first season? Only one. The Flash.

After months of teasing, the villainous Grodd will finally headline his own hour on prime time television. To raise viewers expectations of the metahuman's (or is it metagorilla?) arrival, The CW has released an extended trailer for the upcoming episode, "Grodd Lives."

Are you still breathing? Good. Now, lets get down to business.

Iris Discover The Flash's Identity

She may have arrived late to the party, but now, every main cast member now knows the identity of The Flash and Harrison Wells. How will Iris deal with this new information? Do you think Barry will let Iris in on the secret that in the not so distant future, they will be married?

Thawne vs. Thawne

Harrison Wells may have gotten too comfortable killing off anyone who gets in his way, but it seems Eddie's an exception. What better way to silence a nuisance than by staring at him with a pair of angry red eyes? If that doesn't work, I don't know what will.

It's Time to Believe in Grodd

The CW
The CW

It only took twenty-one episodes for Gorilla Grodd to headline his own episode, but it was worth the wait. As previously reported, Grodd isn't too fond of Barry, but why? It seems that Grodd sees Wells as a father, since there are scribbles (as well as cute drawings) throughout his layer. One scribble in particular says, "Father hates..." which can assume ends with 'Barry'.

It shouldn't come as surprise that Grodd is loyal to Wells, since Wells stepped in when things were getting out of hand with General Eiling's meddling. Grodd will eventually become a very, very intelligent animal, and when he discovers that he is being used by Wells...well, let's say it won't be pretty.

But for now, lets focus on the brawl between The Flash and Grodd. It seems there were some tweaks to the Grodd that has been appearing in the teasers, since the final version looks very, very terrifying. It will be interesting to see how Barry and the gang react to a talking, telepathic gorilla, and how they intend to take him down.

Are you excited to see this showdown that has been teased since the pilot? How do you feel about Grodd's appearance? Let us know in the comments below!!
