The Hulk is one of Marvel's greatest superheroes to ever be created. He wasn't as popular as he is now when Marvel first introduced him in 1962. The Hulk later became a big topic after they gave him an appearance in "Tales to Astonish" and added him to "The Avengers". Other than Lou Ferrigno's interpretation of the Hulk, he hasn't become a big success on the big screen...yet.
Will They Give Him Another Solo Movie?
Big Lou Just Said It!
There's speculation that the Hulk will soon get a solo movie in the future with Mark Ruffalo as the big green giant! Lou Ferrigno stated last year in an interview, that Disney has been planning for a new solo Hulk movie for a long time after Avengers: Age of Ultron came out. When Lou was asked about the new Hulk movie he was quick to say:
"they are doing another Hulk movie."
Lou Ferrigno agrees that Disney is supposedly claiming to give fans a good Hulk storyline that everybody has been waiting for. Also, he may be getting a role in the new movie; possibly as a military general.
If You Want To Watch The Interview Here It Is!
Even Joss Whedon Said It!
Joss Whedon was asked in a Q&A about the subject of the Hulk while attending the ninth annual Glasgow Film Festival; this is what he had to say about whether or not fans will receive another solo Hulk story-line:
“Yes. But it would be very, very hard. Hulk is a tricky son of a bitch. He’s the Claudio of superheroes. Because the problem is it’s a very popular character, but it’s not a superhero. Half of it’s a superhero, half of it’s a werewolf. And you can’t structure it like a superhero movie, you can’t light it like a superhero movie. How do you develop that? It would be extremely difficult. The one thing you would have in your favour would be Mark Ruffalo. But right now I don’t know if they have plans to do that or not, because he works so well as part of a greater whole, but by himself, it’s tough. I don’t envy the guys who went before.”
Hold On A Sec...Did Mark Ruffalo Just Say It?
The Hulk is better known as a supporting character on the big screen; That was proven in "The Avengers" and "Avengers: Age of Ultron". After the two movies were released in theaters the popularity of the character and Bruce Banner went up quickly and became fan-favorite characters.
Now, the possible Hulk film is under "consideration", which was said by Mark Ruffalo. The theory of another Hulk movie has been said for awhile now. The future Hulk movie is just a speculation. After an interview with Digital Spy Mark Ruffalo gave fans hope for a solo Hulk movie after saying this:
“I think they are, for the first time, entertaining the idea of it. When we did The Avengers it was basically ‘No!’, and now there is some consideration for it. But there’s still nothing definitive, not even a skeletal version of what it would be. I look forward to going down that road, if we could crack that nut.”
So is Mark Ruffalo and Marvel teaming up for a solo movie?
Is Marvel Planning A Story-Line For "Planet Hulk" and "World War Hulk"?
When the first Avengers movie was released back in 2012, rumors have been spreading around that Marvel is discussing a Planet Hulk film. Joss Whedon has called all the rumors just straight "nonsense"; then stating that the film would only involve more of the Hulk rather than a bit of Bruce Banner. Wait...Joss Whedon's contract with Marvel is ending soon; so...does this mean Marvel will be planning a Planet Hulk story-line?
Marvels Studios President of Production Kevin Fiege had a different view at the possibilities of a Planet Hulk and World War Hulk film. He believes that the stories of "Planet Hulk" and "World War Hulk" are cool and he would love to see Mark lead his own film on screen.
Will They Bring "Planet Hulk" to life?
Did The New Avengers Movie Hint At A Possible Solo Film?
After the battle took place with Ultron and his army of robots, Hulk got into a jet and was piloting it while Natasha Romanoff is trying to get him to turn back into Bruce Banner and return to the ship. The Hulk ends up disconnecting the call and just drifts into the sky alone. Nick Fury ends up tracking the ship somewhere in the Pacific Ocean but the Hulk doesn't return.
If Marvel does create a solo Hulk movie it can possibly take place after the battle against Ultron with him leaving and will show the possible events before the Infinity War takes place. It is still a mystery to where the Hulk ended up going. Fans think it's a story-line that should be told on screen with just the Hulk alone.
Marvel Fans Just Can't Wait!
Ever since the first Avengers movie fans have just been going crazy for a new Hulk movie with Mark Ruffalo as the new Bruce Banner! Now that the second Avengers movie came out, fans are still curious of whether or not Marvel will start shooting another Hulk story-line. Especially with the way they ended the movie. With that ending the possibilities are just endless!
Let me know what you think about a new Hulk solo film!
