10. Cyclops

  • Scott Summers also known as Cyclops is a mutant hand picked by Charles Xavier to lead the X-men. He was the first to lead the original X-Men and is most known for his serious personality and his optic blasts. He's an extremely powerful mutant and one of my personal favorites.

9. Daredevil

  • Matt Murdock's father Jonathan "Battling Jack" Murdock raised his son alone for his mother supposedly "died". One day Matt saw a blind man walking in the street while a truck was coming towards him. Matt pushed the blind man out of the way. In the process, the truck was carrying radioactive chemicals that spilled when the truck crashed after witnessing the people on the street. The chemicals got into Matt's eyes making him blind. Matt's other senses sharpened dramatically after the accident. Because of his new skills he would later become the masked vigilante Daredevil. 8. Iron Man

  • It all started in Vietnam when Anthony Stark (or Tony) was going through a field test with his weapons when he went through a booby trap and got shrapnel in his chest. He was than captured by a man named Wong-Chu who tried to cut a deal with Stark for him to make a powerful weapon for the communists. Instead of making the weapon, he made his Mark I Iron Man suit with the help of another captive Professor Ho Yinsen. The professor sacrificed his life to help Tony charge his suit. When the suit was charged he attacked the communist base. Just so happens James Rhodes was shot down earlier in the jungle near the base and was able to aid Tony in his escape out of the Communist base. When he got home he perfected the chest plate professor Yinsen made for him to keep the shrapnel out of his chest. He would later use the the chest device to power his future Iron Man suits. He would also later be one of the founding members of the Avengers.

7. Thor

  • Thor Odinson is not from Earth, but Donald Blake is. I'm going to try to give you the original story of how Thor came to be in Earth. Well in the original story Donald Blake was hiking when an alien invasion started to occur. Donald went to hide in a cave when he twisted his ankle. While in the cave he saw a stick lying on a stone. When he went to grabbed it, the stick turned into a hammer and he turned into Thor Odinson for he was deemed worthy enough to hold the hammer. Now the story that others seem to know is that Thor was being a jerk on Asgard and acting childish so Odin sent him to Earth to learn humility. He is definitely one of the strongest heroes in Marvel and is one of the founding members of the Avengers.

6. Professor X

  • Professor Xavier is one of the most powerful mutants. He has telepathic abilities making him able to get into peoples heads and control their brains. His name is Charles Xavier and he wasn't aware of his powers for a while and he originally thought he was going crazy. It wasn't till he was 12 that he realized the voices were in other peoples heads. He dedicated his life to helping other mutants control their powers at the school he created called Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. He spent his life fighting what the humans call "the Mutant problem". Founder of the X-Men.

5. Jean Grey

  • Jeans powers are out of this world. She is as well one of the most powerful mutants in Marvel. She has telekinesis ( the ability to control objects with your mind) and telepathy. She's stronger than Professor X and is one of the founding members of the X-Men. It wasn't until the Dark Phoenix saga where she turned evil and killed billions of people by eating a distant star.

4. Hulk

  • Bruce Banner a very intelligent scientist was at the test site of the Gamma bomb when he found a civilian in the danger zone. At that moment he went to save the man who was there but was to late to save himself for he was exposed to Gamma radiation. It was later when he found out the gamma radiation gave him abilities that make him the strongest hero in Marvel comics. The Hulk is extremely powerful and is near undefeatable. The angrier he gets the stronger he gets. He is as well a founding member of the Avengers.

3. Captain America

  • Steve Rogers was born July 4th, 1918. He grew up with a heart of gold but wasn't exactly "fit". He was very tiny and had a lot of health conditions. He tried to register for the army when World War II came into play but kept getting rejected for his health problems. It wasn't until Doctor Abraham Erskine who created a super solider serum did Rogers have a chance to join the army. Erskine gave rogers the super solider serum and he became Captain America. Fighting along side Bucky Barnes and the Howling Commandos in Nazi Germany. When Rogers and Barnes went to take down a bomb filled Drone sent by Baron Zemo, the plane exploded supposedly "killing" Bucky and sent Captain America into the Arctic waters of the English channel and freezing him. 50 years later the Avengers found his frozen body and were able to wake him up. From that moment on he became the leader of the Avengers.

2. Wolverine

  • Commonly known as Logan, Wolverine is a mutant with regenerative powers. Someone can stab Wolverine with a 12 in knife in the stomach and his body will instantly heal. He will however feel pain. He also has the ability to grow bone claws out of his fists. I'm not exactly sure when he was born if you know do me a favor and comment it please. But I am aware he's been alive for a very long time. Longer than Captain America I believe. In fact he was part of the Howling Commandos back in World War II and fought along side Captain America. It wasn't until some time after WWII that he joined the Weapon X Program. Doctor Cornelius' job was to find a way to make adamantium combine into bone cells. Which was successful. Logan's entire skeleton was replaced with adamantium giving bad ass adamantium claws that can cut through almost anything!

1. Spider-Man

  • All right I'm not even going to explain to you his origin because if you watch Marvel movies i'm pretty sure you know his origin story by now. Peter Parker is one of the most relatable comic book characters out there. Every kids dream is to have super powers and become and hero which is why Spider-Man does so well in the mainstream.

Who do you think would win in a battle between the 10 of these heroes?
