A lot of information regarding the highly anticipated AMC's zombie spinoff series, Fear the Walking Dead, is still being held tightly under wraps. I'm sure that many of us are already sold on the idea of expanding on the post-apocalyptic world of The Walking Dead.

We know the events that take place in Los Angeles will occur just after the start of the outbreak, before those in The Walking Dead, but that the storylines are separate from the Georgia-based show.

We also know of a few main characters, including Cliff Curtis as Sean Cabrera and Alycia Debnam Carey as Ashley Tomkins, but not much else regarding their stories at the moment.

The latest news to break on the series is the casting of a familiar face as a series regular. Elizabeth Rodriguez, who plays Aleida Diaz - Dayanara's tough-love mother - on the Netflix originals series Orange Is the New Black. According to EW, Rodriguez will play "a mysterious role that sources are keeping quiet about."

So who should Elizabeth Rodriguez play? Maybe she'll take on a motherly role again, but this time with slightly more care. Or perhaps they'll make a nod to her role as Aleida by having her play an escaped convict avoiding the law, and the walkers.

Given Rodriguez's past roles, I hope she'll still be playing a sassy, badass woman who shouldn't be messed with. Maybe she'll be able to use some of the skills she learned in prison to kill off some walkers!

With the third season of Orange is the New Black streaming to Netflix starting on June 12, 2015, and Fear the Walking Dead debuting this summer, it looks like we're going to be seeing a lot more of Elizabeth Rodriguez!

Fear the Walking Dead will air this summer, and will be available for streaming exclusively on Hulu.
