She told me that when she grows up she wanted to be a cosplayer just like me...

"Chatty", "endlessly helpful", and "effervescent" don't begin to describe Ms Luna Cosplay: Ask a simply question and you'll get a surprisingly complex answer.

Comic Book Illuminati:
What's your best cosplay moment so far?

Ms Luna Cosplay:
My best moment ... hmm that is a tough one! I've had so many!
Let me do a top 5 might make it easier!
Not in any particular order.
1. Judged 5 masquerades! My favourite being Insomnia 52, I got to pick the winner and she was a giant Jolteon, oh my god she was amazing.
2. Did my first panel and Sheffield Film and Comic Con. It was called "Cosplaying for All Sizes"; spoke about my personal experience in the cosplay community as a curvy cosplayer.
How it’s affected me and how I've been bullied and called a shit cosplayer because I'm classed as a plus size cosplayer. I had a few friends join me Undead Giraffe Cosplay and Kurt Garret Cosplay.
And they also spoke about their experiences too. We gave tips on how to feel more confident and told everyone that no one should ever hold them back. Over a 150 people came to listen, was the busiest cosplay panel of the weekend. I received 100's and messaged and thank you from people saying how inspirational it was for them and how they feel confident enough to cosplay, too.
That was really a good moment for me.

3. Having a father tell me his 11 year old daughter looks up to me as an idol. This almost brought me to tears, again in Sheffield; I bumped into a guy who told me he follows my cosplay page and that he and his kids are huge fans. The kids loved my costumes and pics so much they started cosplaying themselves!
They came by my table later on; they came to my table where I was selling some prints. Had a chat with all of them and the dad was telling me that his daughter was being bullied at school, apparently people calling her name and calling her fat. I had a chat with the girl, she was so lovely, her dad said she was normally quite shy, but as soon as she started talking to me she completely came out of her shell and started asking me all sorts of question about costumes, make up, what characters she should do. She told me that when she grows up she wanted to be a cosplayer just like me, which made me cry so much? Haha they brought one of my Crimson Cowl posters, which a signed to the whole family, even got a pic back of the kids holding it, was such a good feeling.
4. One of the funniest moments is when I was crewing for one of the conventions in the summer, London Film and Comic Con. Crazy busy weekend, didn't cosplay much and had to do some ridiculous amount of traveling to and from the hotel show masters had put us all in. Cos we were staying with the crew we were also put in the same hotel as all the guests! So got to hang out with Jason Mews, Ivy DoomKitty and a couple of others. But on the Sunday night we were hanging in the bar with the wrestler James Storm and another guy who was his friend but for the life of me I can't remember his name! It was really late and all of us were drunk, the bar had just shut so we decided to go on a quest to the McDonalds next door. James's friend went to cut across the grass to get to the entrance, he was wearing stupid sandals and stumbling all over the place. He somehow managed to get his sandal caught on the wooden border around the grass and tripped, face planting the ground. James went over to help him up but was flipped by his friend onto the ground, they then started to wrestle on the grass outside McDonalds. Proper throwing each other and slamming each other on the ground. I fell over laughing, was the most hilarious and unreal thing to ever happen to me at a convention, it's definitely a story I tell everyone.
5. I've met some awesome celebrities, who I've had pics with or gotten there autograph, the best ones were definitely Jeremy Bulloch, Tim Russ, Mark Meer, Rana McAnear (Face of Samara), Robert Picardo, Yaya Han, Jessica Nigri and Cas Anvar.

Have you been approached by filmmakers?

Ms Luna Cosplay:
I've been in a few cosplay video's, I known quite a few of the groups that go round the conventions in England, such as Queens of Winn, Sneaky Zebra, Smile250 and many others.

Comic Book Illuminati:
Have you ever been recognized out of "uniform"?

Ms Luna Cosplay:
I haven’t had this yet [Laughs] which I s'pose is quite lucky! Get recognized a bit when I am in cosplay though, which is always a good feeling!

Comic Book Illuminati:
What's your best personal nerdgasm?

Ms Luna Cosplay:
It's got to be either Pokémon or Mass effect and Deadpool; those are the things I'm most crazy about! Especially Pokémon Just recently finished the pokedex on X & Y all 719 of them!!
I love lots of other things too, but the list would just be too long.
