While watching the [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](tag:293035) this weekend, I couldn't help but get really excited about the introduction of the superhero, Vision.
To be completely honest, I didn't know much about the android before watching the movie. I knew Vision was an android, but I didn't know where he was going to originate from.
This is where we start getting into those spoilers. I really don't want to ruin the movie for you, so unless you've watched it or don't mind, I'd stop and come back later!
There are five main reasons why I think Vision is going to be the best, and I am also going to give their reasons why.
1. He's an Android.
Unlike Ultron, this artificial intelligence has human-like form, given to him through the Cradle. The guy is red, but the human-like appearance gives him this sense of wonder about his being.
Since he is an android, made with the same metal that Captain America's shield is made out of, he can take a beating just as well as Thor can. We are shown this in the movie as Ultron tries to smash Vision's head.
I would be interested in seeing he and the Hulk fighting...
2. He has Artificial Intelligence.
Since he has a little of Ultron and J.A.R.V.I.S in him, plus the Mind Stone, he is intellectually better than most people that could go against him. This also allows him to compute the best way of handling the situation in front of him. We see this right when he comes out of the Cradle. Vision wards off Thor, but then proceeds to study everything around him. He calculates what is going on outside of the building, and decides what he must do.
3. The Mind Stone
In Age of Ultron, the Mind Stone is placed on Vision, giving him an insane amount of power. Ultron thought he was giving himself this power, but instead, weaponized his ultimate foe.
This Mind Stone is one of the six stones that go on Thanos' Infinity Gauntlet. We have seen three others, but this one has the capability of controlling the minds of the people it goes against. At this point, I'm not sure if Vision can do this. Needless to say, this Mind Stone is definitely going to be a huge factor leading up to the Infinity Wars. Vision has this stone, what will this mean for Thanos?
Also, with this stone, Vision can shoot out a beam. Loki could do this with the scepter, so apparently its the same idea. I'm not really positive how that works, but it came in handy in Age of Ultron.
4. Vision is an Avenger
At the end of the Avengers 2, we see the four new recruits of the Avenger's Initiative. Vision is one of these. This means that he has decided who he wants to work with, at least for the current time.
So, we will be seeing more of him, and thankfully he is an Avenger. His intellect being on their side, I'm sure will come in handy. However, what will this mean when Civil War gets here? Since we don't know much about him, which side is he going to choose?
I've had a few spoilers so far, but this next point, I really don't want to spoil for you. So if you are that sort of person that hates spoilers, like me, you have been warned.
5. He is Worthy
What makes the Avengers trust this android that just popped out of the machine? Even after he attacked Thor, they still trust him.
Because he is worthy.
This was probably my favorite part of the movie.
During The Vision's monologue about how he doesn't know how to make sure they realize he is on their side, he walks around, studying each and contemplating. He ends his monologue by saying that he is going, and hands Thor Mjolnir.
This is why they trust him, and why I think that we still have many great things left to see.
The Vision is a hero that I think has lots of potential with the coming movies. I really look forward to what will happen to him during Civil War, and what will become of him leading up to the next Avenger movies.
What about you?
