I have to admit that the horrific face of Stephen King's It still haunts me to this day. The thought of him popping out of from behind a tree, his gnarly, white powdered hands gripping my neck sends shivers down my spine.
I may not have coulrophobia, but many people are intensely afraid of clowns. A French-born photographer named Eolo Perfido felt inspired by clowns and the exaggerated expressions of old film stars to create Clownville.
Paired with makeup artist Valeria Orlando, Clownville is a photo series showcasing vulgar and terrorizing clowns with exaggerated makeup, costumes, and facial expressions. I should warn you that if you have a phobia of clowns, you might want to exit this article and google some puppies.
