We've heard a lot of crazy stories about people whipping themselves into a frenzy over Fifty Shades of Grey. We read with mild amusement about the horny couple that couldn't resist a night of passion in a Fifty Shades exhibition. Stories like these are a bit naughty, but mainly victimless crimes.

Then, the stories got worse. A woman was arrested for masturbating in a full cinema screening of Fifty Shades. A man was stabbed by drunk Fifty Shades fans at a theater.

And now, a French sex pest used Fifty Shades as an excuse to get his thrills...

Using this photo from an advert, he looked for victims

Posing as 'Anthony Laroche' on dating website Zoosk, the man tricked two women into coming to his house on the proviso that he looked like the man in the photo.

Expectations vs Reality

Promising kinky Fifty Shades-inspired fun, the man did not look like Jamie Dornan, but was really the 78-year-old man on the right. However, he had tricks to get around his lies.

He persuaded the women to stay blindfolded

One woman said to an investigating officer:

He didn't want me to take off the blindfold. When I insisted, he got angry. I ended up seeing his silhouette in the dark. He was old, pot-bellied with a big nose. I told him: "It wasn't you in the photo." He said: "No, but I had grown fond of you and was afraid to admit it." I left in disgust.

The man is currently under investigation, charged with 'rape by surprise.'

The bigger, longer, uncut special edition of Fifty Shades of Grey is out on DVD and Blu-Ray May 8.
