In the past few weeks the greatest space saga ever the grace the silver screen has truly gone into space.
First up, an X-Wing traveled into orbit.
Well it was a model of an X-Wing. This was done by two fans because they wanted to get the attention of J. J. Abrams (the man who is directing the next installment) and have him invited them to the premiere of 'the Force Awakens'.
Then to celebrate 'May the 4th Be With You', the astronauts watched one of the films in the saga, in space aboard the international space station. Sorry prequel haters, it was 'Revenge of the Sith'.
This isn't the first time Star Wars has been to space, though, back in 2007 to mark the 30th anniversary of the film that started it all 'Star Wars' Later renamed 'Episode 4 : New Hope' the ISS sent up a prop of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber from 'the Return of the Jedi'.
Wither you are Sith or Jedi, May the Force Be With You, Always.
