Liv Will Be Back For More Brain Eating Adventures In Season 2!
The CW has officially renewed iZombie for a second season!
iZombie premiered on the 17th of March, airing after fellow DC Comics TV adaptation of The Flash, and scored a 2.3 million total viewers with it's most recent episode earning 1.9 million viewers.
The show is based off the comic book of the same name that was created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred and was first published in 2010 by Vertigo/DC Comics.
Liv is a med student who attended a party and ended up infected with a virus that transformed her into the walking dead. Forced to consume human brains to keep from turning into a mindless, shambling monster, she goes to work helping the coroner (Rahul Kohli) and a police detective (Malcolm Goodwin) solve crimes using psychic impressions she gets by eating the brains of murder victims.
Developed for television by Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero, the same team that brought us Veronica Mars, the series stars Rose McIver as Liv Moore, Malcolm Goodwin as Det. Clive Babineaux, Rahul Kohli as Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti, Robert Buckley as Major Lilywhite, Aly Michalka as Peyton Charles and David Anders as Blaine DeBeers.
It hasn't been revealed yet how many episodes Season 2 will contain or whether it will return to midseason or earlier in The CW schedule. iZombie is the 11th show that the studio has renewed.
I, personally, am very excited to see the show come back. iZombie is one of my Top 3 new shows of the 2014-2015 season, the cast is brilliant and the story is entertaining to watch.
If you're not watching this show, get on it!
iZombie airs on The CW on Wednesdays and the Season 1 finale will air on June 9th.
