Here are this week's UK Film Releases:

THE AGE OF ADALINE

Starring: Blake Lively (The Town), Harrison Ford (Star Wars: The Force Awakens), Michiel Huisman (Wild) and Ellen Burstyn (Interstellar).

Directed By: Lei Toland Kreiger (Celeste and Jesse Forever)

A young woman, born at the turn of the 20th century, is rendered ageless after an accident. After many solitary years, she meets a man who complicates the eternal life she has settled into.

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 54%.

Rating - 12A, Runtime - 112 Mins

Genre: Drama, Romance.

Release: Wide.

Anticipation: 7/10.

"The Age Of Adaline" is definitely a movie I'm interested in seeing, mainly because of the director Lei Toland Kreiger, he directed one of my favorite romance movies of recent years "Celeste and Jesse Forever" and I'm interested in seeing how he does with a much more fantastical love story of a woman who doesn't age. Harrison Ford is of course a big draw for me as well because he's my favorite actor of all time and I'm a fan of Blake Lively, she's had some bad films but she has given some very good performances, my favorite of hers being "The Town".

[SPOOKS] THE GREATER GOOD

Starring: Kit Harrington (Game Of Thrones), Elyes Gabel (A Most Violent Year), Jennifer Ehle (Zero Dark Thirty).

Directed By: Bharat Nalluri (The Crow - Salvation)

When a terrorist escapes custody during a routine handover, Will Holloway must team with disgraced MI5 Intelligence Chief Harry Pearce to track him down before an imminent terrorist attack on London.

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 86%

Rating - 15, Runtime - 104 Mins

Genre: Action, Drama, Thriller.

Release: Wide.

Anticipation: 7/10.

"[Spooks] The Greater Good" is a continuation of the British TV Show that I remember seeing parts of but never sat down and watched it. The trailer got me quite interested though, I'm a fan of British spy films, even more so than American ones.

BIG GAME

Starring: Samuel L Jackson (Avengers: Age Of Ultron), Ray Stevenson (Insurgent) and Jim Broadbent (Paddington).

Directed By: Jalmari Helander (Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale).

A young teenager camping in the woods helps rescue the President of the United States when Air Force One is shot down near his campsite.

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 80%

Rating - 12A, Runtime - 90 Mins.

Genre: Action, Adventure.

Release: Wide.

Anticipation: 6/10.

The trailer for "Big Game" didn't really impress me, in fact I thought it looked quite dumb, but the very high Rotten Tomatoes critic rating has surprised me so this is one I'll be checking out for sure. I'm a huge Samuel L Jackson fan and the action looks entertaining.

TOP FIVE

Starring: Chris Rock (Grown Ups 2), Rosario Dawson (Marvel's Daredevil), Kevin Hart (Get Hard).

Directed By: Chris Rock (I Think I Love My Wife).

A comedian tries to make it as a serious actor when his reality-TV star fiancée talks him into broadcasting their wedding on her TV show.

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 88%

Rating - 15, Runtime - 102 Mins.

Genre: Comedy, Romance.

Release: Limited.

Anticipation: 8/10.

"Top Five" released in the US late last year and is only now being released in the UK, I've heard some very good things about the film, one of the biggest praised going to Chris Rock as the director. This is one I'll definitely be checking out!
