With the second installment of the Avengers now in our rear-view mirror, Captain America: Civil War is our next most anticipated destination. But not before the release of Ant-Man in July. It has broke out that Ant-Man WILL have a place in the Civil War!

Alongside him, the cast is as follows:

Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. are reprising their roles as Captain America and Iron Man, obviously! Scarlett Johansson is also coming back as Black Widow. As well as Clint Barton as Hawkeye. Paul Bettany as The Vision, Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, and Anthony Mackie as Falcon are returning as well. Don Cheadle will be back as War Machine too.

On top of the already ensemble cast, there are also others that are dropping in for the Civil War. Sebastian Stan is returning as The Winter Soldier and as I stated earlier, Paul Rudd will once again be on the big screen as Ant-Man.

To add even more fuel to the fire of excitement, Martin Freeman has been cast. Although they have not specified who he will play, there are rumors flying rampant that he will in fact be Spider-Man! The Spider-Man solo film does not come out until 2017 sadly, but it is a very high possibility that he will fight in the Civil War.

Here is the official synopsis of Civil War:

Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.

I, as well as everyone else, are ecstatic about Captain America: Civil War. Not only for the showdown between our beloved heroes, but also for it being the first chapter of Phase 3 which is the beginning of the road to the Infinity War that is set to hit theaters in 2018 and 2019! Everything, all the way back to the first Iron Man has been leading to the rise of Thanos the Mad Titan who is being portrayed by none other than Josh Brolin. Could this 'new and nefarious villain' be none other than Thanos himself? We have less than a year before Phase 3 commences with Civil War....

But before then...there is but one question that remains...

Captain America: Civil War hits theaters May 6, 2016!
