As all of you may have heard, Martin Freeman, who you may know as Bilbo Baggins from The Hobbit franchise, Arthur Dent in Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and, most notably, Dr. Watson in Sherlock starring Benedict Cumberbatch, who is about to be in a Marvel movie as the famous Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Strange.
But you definitely have to wonder. Who will he play? I mean we already have Daniel Bruhl as Baron Helmut Zemo, Frank Grillow as former agent Grumlow, AKA Crossbones. And then you've got Chris Evans, as always, as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes the Winter Soldier, Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, an unknown actor as Spider Man (still yet to be determined), and Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch. Now, we know for certain that he's not going to Spider Man, I mean, no offense, but I don't think a guy of that caliber would be putting on a spandex suit with a mask.
Will it be an exclusive role or will it be a not-so-essential character like Linda Cardellini's character in Avengers: Age of Ultron?
I guess we'll either have to wait until the movie comes out or we'll expect more information as it develops in the coming months. Until then, don't forget to comment and leave me what you think his character will be like in the movie!
Iron Man and Captain America go head-to-head with each other, along with Spider Man and Scarlet Witch in Captain America: Civil War on May 6, 2016. So, a year from yesterday, I guess. See ya then!
