Marvel officially revealed a couple days ago that Captain America: Civil War had officially begun its production. The movie is set for release on May 6, 2016 with its initial release in the US. They also announced some of the major characters that would be part of the Civil War, including: Tony Stark/Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), The Vision (Paul Bettany), Clint Barton / Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), Scott Lang / Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Sam Wilson / Falcon ( Anthony Mackie), T'Challa / Black Panther (Chadwick Boseman), Steve Rogers/Captain America (Chris Evans), James Rhodes / War Machine (Don Cheadle), Sharon Carter/Agent 13 (Emily VanCamp), Brock Rumlow / Crossbones (Frank Grillo), Baron Zemo (Daniel Brühl), General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross (William Hurt) and even Sherlock and Hobbit actor Martin Freeman as an unrevealed character. Notice that spiderman isn't anywhere on the list currently, although spiderman plays a big role in Marvel's Civil War in the comics.

The official synopsis:

"Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain."

A week ago, some concept art photos of captain america and iron man were leaked on instagram.

With the cast list and the photos, Captain America: Civil War might turn out to be a bigger and better movie in comparison to the Avengers: Age of Ultron.

***actor sebastian stan also posted on instagram a behind the scenes look

Some set photos from Georgia, Atlanta leaked the previous day as well.
