After the announcement that NBC was choosing not to renew Constantine for a second season, fans of the show looked to networks, such as The CW, and online platforms such as Netflix, and Hulu, to save the DC Comics show.

Some were hopeful that show could join The CW, and merge the world of Constantine with that of Arrow and The Flash, and it seems the idea isn't as far fetched as some would have thought.

During his appearance at Wizard World Philadelphia Comic Con, Arrow star Stephen Amell revealed that there were prior talks to crossover his character, Oliver Queen, to Constantine, he says:

Now, Constantine was an NBC show. I’m on The CW. I had had discussions with DC… so not NBC, not CW… but with DC Entertainment about guest starring on Constantine when it was still on the air. And that was and is still on the table.

If the idea of a crossover between the two shows was a possibility, than it seems safe to consider both shows part of one universe. In the comics, it was rare for Oliver Queen to interact with John Constantine. Most of their interaction happened after the reboot known as The New 52. Due to this, it would essentially give producers a lot of legroom to explore stories between the two shows.

When asked what could have led Oliver Queen to visit John Constantine, Amell says:

The reason that I was going to guest star on Constantine, at least the idea that we were throwing around was he’s an expert when it comes to the Lazarus Pit, which is now something that is a part of and will continue to be a part of Arrow.

Since the magical, supernatural aspects of the DC Comics Universe aren't currently being explored by neither The Flash or Arrow, it would seem that the Flarrowverse could benefit a tremendous lot by merging with Constantine's world.

But wait? Isn't Constantine on NBC and Arrow and The Flash on The CW? Two competing networks. Would a crossover even be possible even if the producers wanted it done? Amell says:

On the B side, there is an opportunity for interconnectivity with any DC television show that exists.

Well that answers that. What do you think? Should Constantine be part of the Flarrowverse? Would you like to see Constantine and Green Arrow work side by side? Let us know in the comments below!!
