Superheros need a love life too. Throughout the entire history of comic books dating back to the 1940's (No pun intended), superheroes have always had a significant other. With the advancements that the industry has made as it pertains to films, it is natural that these relationships carry over. We have already seen a few relationships on screen, but with many great films still to come we may be in store for a whole lot more.
Scarlet Witch and The Vision
Scarlet Witch and The Vision are one of the most notorious couples in comics. With both characters being introduced in Avengers: Age of Ultron, it is very likely that we will see the two in a intimate relationship sooner or later. It could make for some very interesting plot developments and would be great to see on screen.
Thor and Sif
Jane Foster did not make an appearance in Avengers: Age of Ultron,, while Thor did mention that the two are still together, questions still begin to surface. Sif, Thor's childhood friend was a romantic rival of sorts to Jane Foster in Thor: The Dark World. There is a definite possibility we will see a romantic relationship on screen between Thor and Sif, it would be interesting to see how they fit it into the story line, excluding Jane Foster.
Wonder Woman and Steve Trevor
Steve Trevor, Wonder Woman's primary love interest will appear in in the upcoming Wonder Woman film. While he has yet to be cast, we surely will see the beginnings of what becomes a long lasting relationship between the two. While we sit and wait to hear who will portray Steve Trevor, its nice to think that he will be romantically involved with Wonder Woman, hopefully its him and not Superman.
Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris
Hal Jordan and Carol Ferris were romantically involved in the 2011 Green Lantern film, but do to the movie being a complete failure resulting in no sequels, the relationship was never able to develop. Now it is unsure if Hal Jordan will be the next Green Lantern that we see on screen, it may be John Stewart, but as for the moment lets assume it will be Hal Jordan, and i'm sure we will see himself and Carol Ferris romantically involved yet again.
Joker and Harley Quinn
While yes, it may be pretty obvious that we will see Joker and Harley Quinn romantically involved with each other, but there is no doubt that it is one of the most anticipated on screen relationships in all of film. Harley Quinn and The Joker respectively have a sort of cult fan following, both are extremely popular and together they are superstars. Hopefully Jared Leto and Margot Robbie share some on screen intimacy in the upcoming Suicide Squad, it will be greatly anticipated.
