Still basking in the glow of winning the Best Supporting Actor Award at the Sunscreen Film Festival last weekend, Matthew Ziff summed up his feelings simply.
"I am so excited to have won Best Supporting Actor at Sunscreen!", Ziff exclaimed when he spoke to me. "This is my second award from there (Ziff also took home a "Best Up and Coming Actor" award for his work in the 2013 film "Treachery") and I am so happy to have gone back!"
The Sunscreen Film Festival is an increasingly prestigious event held in St. Petersburg, Florida and is one of the few associated with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which means it's pretty important.
"The Martial Arts Kid" also won "Best Florida Film" at the event.
Ziff plays Bo Whitlaw, a character who is a bully to Robbiethe titular "Kid" in the film, who is played by Jansen Panettiere.
"I think for me personally taking home this award is really rewarding feeling because it shows me that the hard work I put into making the character such a strong force is noted and acknowledged", Ziff concludes.
The film also stars Cynthia Rothrock, Kathryn Newton, Don Wilson and TJ Storm.
"The Martial Arts Kid" is scheduled to hit theaters very soon.
