I know you are here to see the freshest styles strutting Capitol runways - but today's blog entry is a little different: It's about education.
You probably didn't know this, but Panem's fashion actually evolved from olden times into what it is today. So I'm giving you the low-down of 3 of the most influential fasionistas and how they inspired centuries of creation:
1. Antoinette Eleganza
Mary Atoinette, in this rare shot pictured above, was actually the queen of a place called Europe. She spearheaded the low-carb diet, banishing bread and cake from the entire kingdom. She is a true fashion heroine and brought the country's BMI down to a waif-like 17. Go Mary!
2. Nicky Minage: from Basic to Beauty
Miss Minage started out looking like she walked straight outta district 11. But, she metamorphosized into a truly delicate beauty the Capitol would be proud of. Nicky is said to be the first person to artificially alter her hair colour; she achieved this luscious rose tint look through the application of crushed beetles!
3. John Travolta
John Travolta remained untoppled as the World's most eligible bachelor from the 1970s through to the late 2010's. How did he keep this up? By taking manscaping to the next level and always sprinkling a bit of glitter on it.
Travolta inspired a number of today's subtler facial stylings, including Hunger Games' resident presenter: Caeser Flickerman.
Now you know the inspiring and true facts of the origins of fashion, let's take a minute to honor the fashion pioneers who risked everything to stand out from the crowd. Comment below on your favorite fashion influencers of days past.
