Do you have nerve? We are looking at yet another young adult novel adaptation that is sure to once again develop cult status when the box office numbers are in and when the tickets have been sold. Emma Roberts has definitely been trying to play up her image in film and tv,especially since she will be appearing on the Scream queens tv series. She still has a difficult time keeping her personal life under wraps ever since it was reported that she physically assaulted Evan peters after some kind of argument. Peters didn't press charges. Since that Incident she has been trying to focus on acting but there are some who still feel that she deserves to be given a hard time, she has also even been referred to as a "monster". It's also funny since this movie pairs her with someone who is equally or more disliked than she is. Despite the controversy this film seems interesting based on the pairing of actors which could help promote the film.

Here's the plot synopsis:

An adaptation of Jeanne Ryan's 2012 novel "Nerve." When Vee is picked to be a player in "Nerve," an anonymous game of dares broadcast live online, she discovers that the game knows her. They tempt her with prizes taken from her ThisIsMe page and team her up with the perfect boy, sizzling-hot Ian. At first it’s exhilarating–Vee and Ian’s fans cheer them on to riskier dares with higher stakes. But the game takes a twisted turn. Suddenly they’re playing all or nothing, and the prize may be their lives.

Based on what you just read above its clear that this film is going towards the psychological thriller with a techno twist. If executed well this film could be very exciting and most importantly, memorable. Emma Roberts might have an opportunity to convince her critics that she can act since this will be a very intense emotionally-charged thriller. The trailer will have to make a good impression and establish a tone that can build suspense and capture viewer attention. The film will also have a strong drama element that will depend on the chemistry between Franco and Roberts and how convincing they are when interacting with one another.

Franco still maintains a fairly successful career thanks to his role in "Now you see me" which made him part of a cleverly assembled ensemble. He will also be appearing in the sequel which is due to come out next year. Emma Roberts hasn't been seen in alot of movies so fans of hers will be excited to check this out, on the other side of the spectrum there will be those use this as an opportunity to bring up her split with Evan peters and label her as "crazy" and in need of therapy. If none of this entices you to go see this film then perhaps Juliette lewis's involvement might since she will be playing a fairly significant role in the film. "Nerve" could have decent numbers at the box office if it avoids directly competing with other YA movie adaptations that are more well known and anticipated. Overall This seems like it could be a break-out hit and that is most likely what the studio is counting on.
