With GTA V finally released on every platform aside from the Wii U (never going to happen), we can all finally sit back and wait for the reveal of Rockstar's next game. The company previously stated that we can all look forward to the announcement of a brand new title in 2015. The question is whether we're going to be shown a brand new IP, or the return of one of Rockstar's brilliant franchises.

In terms of new instalments, we could see Rockstar make L.A. Noire 2, Max Payne 4, Manhunt 3, a new Midnight Club (please don't), Bully 2, and then the inevitable GTA 6 and Red Dead Redemption 2. But in the hypothetical situation that you could pick Rockstar's next game, would you want Red Dead Redemption 2 to get a release date, or do you live for the next GTA?

GTA 6 vs Red Dead Redemption 2 for Next Rockstar Release Date

We all know of the gamers out there that seem to live for the next GTA title - to the extent where they hate on every other Rockstar title that comes out in between each release. Naturally, GTA titles take years to develop, especially seeing as its Rockstar's most popular franchise. But I for one love to see Rockstar break away from the GTA mould and try new things. Max Payne 3 is a game I don't think I'll ever sell, L.A. Noire was a rather shocking surprise and Red Dead Redemption is undoubtedly one of the best games ever made.

But I have to say that GTA V didn't really immerse me into its world. It's a ridiculous amount of fun to play and GTA Online is one of the greatest things I've ever engaged with! But in comparison with the dark, gritty world of Max Payne and the stellar story laid out for John Marston, GTA V continually pulled me out of the experience due to its jarring characters and concluded with a really disappointing ending.

Personally, I'm dying to see what they do with the Red Dead franchise, especially if they decide to change it up to this extent. I want to see Rockstar take their genius powers with the open-world formula and transfer it onto more and more interesting settings as they did with Red Dead and with Bully. Will Red Dead Redemption 2 go forward in time? Or take us deeper into the old west?

Let us know if you'd prefer a GTA 6 release date over Red Dead Redemption 2 in the comments and whether you think Rockstar still have a game for us all in 2015!
