Suicide Squad continues to film in Toronto, and fittingly we insatiable fans are greeted with a whole new batch of images to whet our appetites. At this rate, DC and Warner Bros. don't need to do any of their own promotion since press coverage and amateur video have created a pretty self-sustaining machine. Harley Quinn is like the new Field of Dreams. If you spot her, cameras will come.
The latest round of set images features the usual suspects (still no sight of Amanda Waller, Enchantress, or anyone else we haven't yet seen), but they're some of the best glimpses we've gotten so far. Plus, in this scene there's been some heavy rainfall, so factor that in to the visual appeal.
Read on for our latest (and still somewhat grainy) look at the highly anticipated Suicide Squad.
Let's start with the boys
That's Deadshot (Will Smith), Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), and Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) strutting their stuff, presumably on a mission.
Here's a really clear onset look at Jay Hernandez's El Diablo.
A series of modern pin-ups featuring Harley Quinn
Margot Robbie continues to steal the show as Harley Quinn. I don't think I've ever been so confident in a portrayal before filming has even wrapped, but just LOOK AT HER.
This scene must be after their mission (which some speculate will involve rescuing the Enchantress) because Harley is sporting a series of bruises and rips in her fishnets that weren't there in the original collection. It looks like she may have lost her jacket as well, which only makes the rain look that much more chilling.
Poor Harley is totally soaked
Even with her color coordinated umbrella, you can practically see her shivering in this photo.
Seriously, she looks freezing, but something tells me that white shirt was entirely intentional for this scene (and that something is a visible red bra).
Luckily, one merciless assassin proves to be quite the charmer
Looks like somebody is (thankfully) able to get over Mr. J at some point in the movie. Out of jacket, out of mind.
Will Smith's grin and affectionate glance accurately capture how many of us are feeling right now.
Have you ever seen such a gentleman?
Is it me, or does it look like the rain stops as soon as this pair gets acquainted? Divine intervention is making sure these two get cozy.
The more I see from set, the more I think we're going to get a scene like this one in [Batman: Assault on Arkham](tag:1409921). Spoiler warning: if you haven't seen Assault on Arkham and want to go into Suicide Squad completely blind, don't watch this clip.
In regards to Harley Quinn and the rest of Suicide Squad, I think I speak for everyone when I say:
Give me this movie, now.
