Here are 11 celebrities I would love to see host next year's Oscars (or any in the future). I'm simply naming 11 people I would like to see become a host so it doesn't really matter who's which number.
1. Robert Downey Jr.
Robert Downey Jr. has everything and then some to make a great host for next year's Oscars. There's never dull moment with this actor and he brings a lot to the table with his charming personality. It would be pretty much be watching the real life Tony Stark on stage. What more can I say? Besides the fact; that the man knows how to control an audience with just his mere presence.
2. Kevin Spacey
I've always wondered why in the world haven't we seen Kevin Spacey hosting the Oscars?! He would knock it right out of the park! We already know he has a charming personality, great actor, he's a genius when it comes to comedic timing and he has some of the most hilarious impressions of celebrities out there. I believe it would be non-stop fun having Spacey as a host. It also helps a great deal that he's one of (if not) the most likable people in Hollywood.
3 & 4. Channing Tatum & Jonah Hill
The ultimate bromance plus the Oscars... Sign me up please. These two have such a fantastic chemistry with one another that it would be impossible no to be entertained by their shenanigans. We've already known since the days of Superbad that Jonah was made for comedy, but Channing has shown he can play with the big boys too in 21 Jump Street. Put both of them together and they're a comedic powerhouse.
5 & 6. Tina fey & Amy Poehler
If you thought Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill were the only two ultimate "bromance" powerhouses; think again! Tiny Fey and Poehler are inseparable... There's never a dull moment watching these two women feed off one another's jokes. Both are incredibly talented at what they do. They're both very likable and they give off such a positive energy. Hopefully these two get their chance because they truly deserve it. Shoot, they both did an awesome job hosting the Golden Globes why not expect the same results at the Oscars?
7. Zach Galifianakis
Call him "weird", "strange" or "awkward"... The man is solid! I personally find him hilarious and I believe he has enough material to keep the audience fully entertained. To get an idea of how funny he is I recommend watching- Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis on FunnyOrDie.com. It's hilarious! It's a scripted show where Zach purposely, rudely asks awkward questions to his guests and many of the times the interviews go down hill, quick! They're brilliantly played out and I figure that if Zach Galifianakis ever gets a chance to host the Oscars there would be tons of hilarious skits.
8. Donald Glover
Actor, writer, comedian, rapper, singer, record producer and businessman-there's nothing that Donald Glover can't do that he already excelled in. I first discovered Donald on his old YouTube channel called derrickcomedy and ever since then I've been a big fan of his work. From writing the hit NBC comedy series 30 Rock and playing character Troy Barnes on NBC's Community. He's also a well, accomplished musician having been nominated for two Grammy's in 2014 (Best Rap Album for Because the Internet and Best Rap Performance for his single "3005"). Donald is no stranger when it comes to performing in front of live audiences and I believe his upbeat/quirky personality would carry him as a great host for the Oscars.
9. Emma Stone
This might be a tough one for Emma Stone, but I think she has what it takes to host the Oscars. She's charming, pretty, intelligent and funny! She has all the right things to be a terrific host. She's a great actress that has played both drama and comedy... In her interviews (especially on Jimmy Fallon) she's a bundle of joy and she seems like someone that could easily light up an entire room with a smile. I'm rooting for you Emma Stone!
10 & 11. Keegan-Michael Key & Jordan Peele
I had to throw in one more bromance on this list and I saved the best for last. Both men are incredibly gifted with the ability to make people laugh out loud. Talented writers and actors... There's no way I was going to forget to put them on this as possible Oscars hosts. I don't need to write too much on them. If you've seen their highly successful comedy series on Comedy Central called Key & Peele then you already know you're in for a real treat if these two get a chance to host the Oscars.
