Captain America 3: Civil War, is shaping up to be what looks like another Avengers movie, (which is fine by me!) with a very large cast already announced, including the likes of none other than Bilbo Baggins! I apologize, I digress... anyways, among the ever growing cast, it appears that General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross will be suiting up with the rest of them. I find this a very interesting move. I don't know about you, but it seemed as if Marvel wanted us to forget about The Incredible Hulk, since there seemed to be no mention of it's events in later MCU films, and none of the characters have showed up in the movies except for the Hulk. He was even portrayed by a different actor.

Now, Marvel decides to put General Ross in [Captain America: Civil War](tag:994409), which will make it eight years since he's been in the MCU! (The Incredible Hulk came out in 2008) So far it seems that Bruce Banner will not be in it. It seems to me that since the Hulk will probably not be in it, or Infinity Wars, they want to replace him... but with who? Funny you should ask, because i'll tell you!

As i'm sure many of you know, in the comics, The character of the Red Hulk, is the hideous transformation of General Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross himself! As a fan favorite for many, and knowing that Marvel likes to please their fans, I'm wondering if we aren't far off from seeing the Red Hulk in the MCU. If he doesn't end up transforming in Captain America 3, I'm thinking it will be teased in the end credits. (fingers crossed!)

The following has minor spoilers for [The Avengers: Age Of Ultron](tag:293035)

In Avengers: Age of Ultron it seemed to me that Planet Hulk was teased with him flying in the Quinn Jet alone still wearing his green skin. (A Planet Hulk movie would be so great!) However, I don't believe a Planet Hulk movie will ever be created, because of Universal owning his rights, and stuff. I have no idea how that works, but it seems as if another Hulk movie isn't in Marvel's plans. :'(

Anyways, if the Hulk is being written out of the MCU after Captain America 3, (keep in mind this is just my speculation) it would make sense to have someone new to take the reigns. I know in the comics, the Red Hulk has been a good guy for a time, and they could have him as an anti-hero in the movies. I think that would be a really interesting to see him interact with other Avengers. Can you imagine him pounding on Thanos in Infinity Wars?! It would be sooo epic!

What do you guys think? Will General Ross become the Red Hulk in the MCU?
