There are so many comic book TV shows and more are being developed. I'm counting down the 5 I'm most excited for
Initially this show was called Titans but now it's title has changed to "Blackbirds". and is set to air on TNT. The show has a massive line up that includes Dick Grayson who will start off as Robin and the assume the role of Nightwing during the course of the show. The lineup also includes Barbra Gordon, Starfire, Hawk and Dove.
Starring Melissa Benoist as Supergirl/ Kara Zor-El alongside Mehcad Brooks as James "Jimmy" Olsen and Calista Flockhart as Cat Grant. The synopsis says:
"Born on the planet Krypton, Kara Zor-El escaped amid its destruction years ago. Since arriving on Earth, she has been hiding her powers she shares with her famous cousin, Superman. But now at age 24, she decides to embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be."
3. LEGENDS OF TOMORROW
The cast for the CW show Legends Of Tomorrow, which is a spin-off of Arrow and The Flash has a vibrant and talented cast. The cast includes most of whom we have seen before like Victor Garber (Firestorm), Dominic Purcell (Heat Wave), Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Caity Lotz as well as Brandon Routh (Atom). We will also get a look at the new character lineup including Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl, Arthur Darvill as Rip Hunter and Franz Drameh who could potentially play a brand new character. The synopsis says:
"When heroes alone are not enough, the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat – one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?"
Lucifer is based on the DC/Vertigo comic book character, he will be portrayed by Tom Ellis and will act alongside Laura German who is Chloe Dance a homicide detective who aids Lucifer as he helps the LAPD solve crimes. The synopsis for Lucifer says:
Lucifer the lord of Hell resigns his throne, abandoning his kingdom and moves to Los Angeles; The City Of Angels, where he opens a night club while also helping the LAPD solve crime.

5. A.K.A. JESSICA JONES
This is a Netflix original series starring Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones is one of four shows that will cross over for a miniseries called “The Defenders” (other series are “Daredevil,” “Luke Cage” and “Iron Fist”) The synopsis on spoilertv says :
"Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic, badass private detective in Hell's Kitchen, New York City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need... especially if they're willing to cut her a check."
