Dating is hard as it is. With the constant pressure from parents to bring a handsome, successful man home for the holidays, the fact that the clock is ticking on those eggs — not to mention it seems everyone around you is either married or pregnant — no wonder us ladies want to pull our hair out.

In Bridget Jones's Diary, Bridget decides to finally get her life in order, starting with losing weight, pushing herself at work, finding some respectful men to date, and keeping a diary where she promises to be brutally honest about it all.

Even though phenomenally respectful catches do exist out in the world, vodka is one of the best boyfriends of all time. Bridget reminds us that you're perfectly fine in life, even if you haven't met the one and you haven't lost that last five pounds.

With vodka and supportive friends who have your back, everything else is just extra.
