Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield reportedly called it quits on their relationship back in April, but this touching interview with Stone seems to suggest that these lovebirds are back on, or that they still hold a torch for each other.
Emma Stone was interviewed by Diane Keaton for Interview magazine, and inevitably conversation moved onto the 26-year-old actors relationship with her Spiderman co-star.
Keaton began talking about how Garfield had heaped praise upon his on/off flame in the past and reminded Stone of the beautiful way he described her acting style. The quote from Garfield that Keaton was referring to goes as follows:
"Working with Emma was like diving into a thrilling, twisting river and never holding on to the sides. From the start. To the end. Spontaneous. In the moment. Present. Terrifying. Vital. The only way acting with someone should be."
In response to the quote singing her praises, Stone replied:
"He is such a poet. [laughs] But that’s the way he writes in general. So I hear it and of course my heart swells up. And I also know that he writes things like that on a daily basis. Yes, he does. He’s so poetic."
Awwww! It's hard to tell whether her answer is uplifting or poignant seeing as the status of the adorable couples relationship is reportedly up in the air, but whatever happens between them, it's refreshing there don't seem to be any hard feelings.
Fingers crossed that we can see these two striking out together again though, I think we can all agree that we need more moments like this:
