Ever since it was first announced I've been dying to get a proper look at Quentin Tarantino's latest Western-set bloodbath, The Hateful 8. Finally, the time has come to get to know these eight angry gentlemen (and lady), though I should probably warn you: they seem like quite the unsavory types...

The movie focuses on post-Civil War bounty hunters who seek shelter during a blizzard, brought together by happenstance, and likely torn apart by bullets if I know Tarantino at all well. But who are these mysterious individuals exactly?

Well, Entertainment Weekly got their hands on these brand new, never before seen character portraits, so what are we waiting for? Allow me introduce you to the Hateful 8!

John Ruth (Kurt Russell)

Bio: John Ruth is a verified badass who lives (and is prepared to die) by his own strict code. Last seen making his way to Red Rock with his hot-headed bounty, Daisy Domergue, in tow.

Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson)

Bio: A Union officer in a previous life, Marquis chose to settle down in the Wyoming mountains, though he's still a lethal gunman...if the situation calls for it.

Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh)

Bio: Though a prisoner of John Ruth's, Domergue's fighting sprit is not easily broken. The lethal outlaw has been known to chew iron and spit nails.

Joe Gage (Michael Madsen)

Bio: An old school cowboy through and through, Gage is holed up at Minnie’s Haberdashery when the action begins.

Oswaldo Mobray (Tim Roth)

Bio: Mobray isn't a local, hailing from the faraway land of Great Britain. His continental name and fancy tailoring may give him away, but this ex-pat is here to stay, claiming to be the new hangman of Red Rock.

Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins)

Bio: A Southerner who's moved West, Chris Mannix claims to be the sheriff of these local parts, but can he be trusted?

General Sanford Smithers (Bruce Dern)

Bio: A former Confederate general and man of few words, Smithers makes up for his silence through experience and wisdom.

Bob (Demian Bichir)

Bio: Bob “the Mexican” has taken over innkeeper duties from Minnie while she’s away visiting relatives. He also has a mighty fine beard, which you may not touch.
