It's the CW upfronts today, and that means some potentially amazing stuff regarding the Arrow and The Flash universe- and, if we're lucky, some good news about Constantine! But don't forget the newbie- Legends of Tomorrow!

The CW released their first full cast photo for the show today, and it's certainly already got the different tone from Arrow and The Flash as they promised.

EDIT: You can now catch a full trailer for Legends, and I've done a comprehensive trailer breakdown in my style on it!

There's Arthur Darvill on the left, playing Rip Hunter. He's definitely got the facial hair and trench coat of time travelling rogue Rip Hunter downpat! Ciara Renee as Kendra Saunders next to him, though notably missing her Hawkgirl wings- fear not, I'm sure they'll be in the show, just covered here. Her character is described as "a young woman who is just beginning to learn that she has been repeatedly reincarnated over the centuries. When provoked, her ancient warrior persona manifests itself, along with wings that grow out of her back, earning her the moniker Hawkgirl."

Then Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein from The Flash; then Caity Lotz! We haven't seen Caity alive in the Arrow universe since the start of season three, but there she is fully decked out in white, her staff (I assume) over her shoulder. This really adds credence to the rumour that she's playing the White Canary. (EDIT: Caity has been confirmed to be playing White Canary. Her connection to Sara Lance will be revealed later).

Then in the middle we have Ray Palmer as the Atom. It's ironic that he's bigger than everyone else, given his role, but it also lends a lot of credence to the notion that he'll be the 'main character' of this spinoff in a way, which is exciting. And we know, after tonight's Arrow, he won't just be flying...

Most likely he'll be microscopic! Note the light coming off of Ray is the same colour as the (amazing CGI actually) explosion from Arrow's finale above. And then on the right we've got everyone's favourite rogues, Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold and Dominic Purcell as Heat Wave! It's certainly a ragtag team, but that's what it's meant to be! Here's the official description for the show-

When heroes alone are not enough... the world needs legends. Having seen the future, one he will desperately try to prevent from happening, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter is tasked with assembling a disparate group of both heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat - one in which not only is the planet at stake, but all of time itself. Can this ragtag team defeat an immortal threat unlike anything they have ever known?

We also just learned, courtesy of KSiteTV's Legends Twitter account-

Notably missing is Franz Drameh's character, but I'm sure we'll see him soon enough. For your first glimpse at the team in action- definitely Kendra Saunder's first appearance- hang around for The Flash next Tuesday (trailer breakdown here), presumably in the last two additional minutes! Most likely it'll be something like our first look at The Flash, which aired at the end of Arrow's second season and gave us our first look at him in action.

Expect more awesome news about the spinoff, Arrow and The Flash today!
