A long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away rumors started circulating that 007 himself may have a cameo role in the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens. That role may have just been revealed.

Whilst walking the red carpet for the premiere of his new comedy, actor Simon Pegg (who is also rumored to have a cameo) may have let slip about Craig's role.

“I wasn’t a Stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a Stormtrooper…I shouldn’t have said that.”

Now...there's a big possibility that Pegg was just playing around with the reporters but we did hear sometime last year that Craig requested to have a cameo in the film.

An inside source has said:

"Daniel asked for some sort of secret cameo role - and was happy to have his name left off the posters. Fans will love trying to work out which covered up character is him."

It seems Craig is quite the Star Wars fan if this news is in fact true. If he is playing a Stormtrooper, it's unlikely we'll even find out when we see the film when it opens December 18th 2015!

You can see Simon Pegg in his new British comedy Man Up which is set to release May 29th (UK). And Daniel Craig can next be seen in the 24th Bond film; Spectre - October 23rd (UK), November 6th (US).

Do you think Craig will simply be playing a Stormtrooper in the upcoming Star Wars film, or will he have a much larger role? Let me know in the comments!
