Now before you start reading this, you may want to now this is the second part of an earlier article I posted. So if you haven't read part 1, I would advise you to do so now before delving into this as it may make more sense. The link to part 1 is below.

Back to the present now and so far I have given my theories on how Thanos could acquire 3 Infinity Stones: The Power Stone, The Time Stone and The Space Stone (in that order). Now for the next three, again these are in chronological order so the fourth stone that I think will be acquired is:

The Reality Stone/Aether

The Aether from Thor: The Dark World
The Aether from Thor: The Dark World

The movie he will collect it: [Thor: Ragnarok](tag:956858) (28th July 2017)

Out of all of my theories, this is probably the least eventful but in turn the coolest! I really hope this one happens as it would be the ultimate way to lead us all into the Infinity Wars movies as hyped up as possible.

The scene would take place in the post credits of Ragnarok, where we are taken to Knowhere (that big skull that people live on in Guardians of the Galaxy). On Knowhere, we are shown the Collector rebuilding his collection and picking up the Aether. He holds it up and says to himself, "at least I still have you." At which point the voice of Thanos says, "are you sure about that Taneleer?" The Collector turns to see the Mad Titan standing in the doorway and immediately panics. Reluctantly he offers the Aether to Thanos who 'gratefully' accepts it. Thanos then turns his gaze from the very extremely annoyed Collecter to a hologram of Earth (that is very conveniently placed in Taneleer's collection). He looks deeply at it and says, "two more". The picture gets closer and closer to the Earth and then, it cuts out...

This is more of a teaser for Infinity War rather than developing the character of Thanos or others like the rest of my theories, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't happen! In my opinion, it's the only way I see Thanos getting the Reality Stone and furthermore, it would be a cool little scene that really knits the cosmic side of the MCU together.

So now with 4 of the Infinity Stones in his possession, the next Stone I think Thanos will acquire is...

The Soul Stone/Unknown

Which will probably look a bit like this...
Which will probably look a bit like this...

The movie he will collect it: Avengers Infinity Wars Part 1 (4th May 2018)

Before I talk about this theory, I have to state that I don't think this will be the first time we see the Soul Stone in the MCU. It will probably be introduced in Marvel's first outing of Dr Strange in 2016. However, I don't see Thanos collecting this Stone until 2018 because it doesn't make sense for him to come to Earth for one Stone in 2016 that'll be hard to get and then leave, wait two years and return for the Mind Stone. If he's going to gather the Stones on Earth he'll probably do it in one clean swoop, quick and painlessly (well for him anyway).

It'll probably occur at the start at the film where we Thanos pay Dr Strange a visit. They battle inside the house for a while but Thanos eventually overpowers the Doctor and obtains the Soul Stone. He then leaves Strange beaten in the ruins in his house and returns to his favourite chair to put the Stone safely with the other 4.

You know, this chair..
You know, this chair..

This theory would only play a small yet pivotal role in the grand scheme of Infinity Wars. It also would be a clever way to unite Dr Strange with the Avengers (if he hasn't done so already). So with 5 Stones down that leaves Thanos with only 1 more to complete the Infinity Gauntlet. So, without further a due the last Stone that Thanos will collect in my theories is...

The Mind Stone/Vision's Headstone (was Loki's Scepter)

Vision and the Mind Stone from Age of Ultron...
Vision and the Mind Stone from Age of Ultron...

Yes I believe that the last Stone to be collected by the Mad Titan will be the Mind Stone which currently lies in the head of the Vision. This theory would be the catalyst for the Infinity War as it would be a great reason for the Avengers to fly off to space and battle Thanos.

After battling Dr Strange, Thanos would turn his attention to the Avengers HQ where Vision will likely be. He would wait until Vision is alone and then approach him, describing what power lies with Vision's head. Vision sends a SOS to his fellow Avengers and tries to stall until they get to his aid. Vision fights valiantly and Thanos acknowledges this but it is clear he can't keep it up. The Avengers enter the room but they are too late to save Vision as they see Thanos mercilessly ripping the Stone out from his head.

It would probably go a bit like this...
It would probably go a bit like this...

Thanos would utter the words, "I tell you only this Avengers, you will all fall under Thanos, just as your friend has. You cannot win this war, there is only death. But you should not fear death, fear Thanos," before throwing the Vision's lifeless body towards their feet. The Avengers filled with outrage and grief, try to attack the Mad Titan, although Thanos teleports back up to his chair.

This would be such an intense scene! The drama, the tears and probably a few laughs as Hawkeye makes some quips about Thanos referring to himself in the third person. But poor Vision! However, I believe in this movie, we need something like this to happen to understand what the Avengers are really up against. Thanos isn't just another generic bad guy, he doesn't want money or power, he's a genocidal maniac who's main goal is for all life in the universe to die! So, him killing Vision right from the get go of this movie would give us an idea of what Thanos will be capable of doing in the Infinity War saga. (Of course Vision will probably be resurrected by Scarlet Witch or something/someone else in Part 2)

What do you think about my theories??

Please let me know what you think of my ideas for the Infinity Stones in Phase 3 of the MCU. Also, feel free to share any of your ideas about Thanos and the Infinity Stones in the comments below!
